Scars

INSPIRING THE WORLD ONE BATTLE AT A TIME:

Here is a poem my daughter wrote about scars while she was going through treatment.

“I have many scars. Some you can't see. You could connect them like stars And tell a whole story. The ones that I wear upon my skin I wear them with pride. They're my badges of strength. No they won't hide. I will wear them so all can see. I've been hurt times before And ill be hurt times again. That's what happens when you act like me And put your heart on your sleeve. Some may weep And some may bury it deep inside. That's not me Because I have many scars. Some you can't see. But the ones that I wear upon my skin I wear them with pride. They're my badges of strength. No they won't hide.”
